First, on shirts. Buy at least three pieces of white shirts. White shirts are the most safest to wear, if you still have no idea on how to mix and match the colors and textures of neckties to those of the shirts. Then, buy one light blue shirt, one purple, and one light yellow. Six pieces would be enough for three months.

In choosing neckties, you must know how to combine colors. But as a general rule you should wear neckties that are a shade darker than your shirt. It is very wise if you check your kindergarten color wheel. In shirt and tie blending, complementary colors are recommended, meaning two colors whose place are opposite in the color wheel.

When you choose slacks, always go for the dark ones, like black and dark gray. Make sure that the bottom of your pants fall perfectly in the middle of the back of your shoes. When you’re thin, go for flat fronts, when you’re on the stocky side, go for pleated. Make sure you can move comfortably in your pants, so as a kind of test, see if there’s enough room that you can insert two of your fingers in the waistline when you try them.
